Hita Educational Institutions was established in 2019 with the aim of promoting GNM and B.Sc Nursing courses through the Hita School and College of Nursing under the visionary leadership of Kshatriya Educational Trust (R).

Undergraduate Degree Programme

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Basic B.Sc)

Duration: 4 Years Affiliated to RGUHS

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

  • Passed Pre-University examination (PUC of 2 years) or equivalent recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) with science subjects.
  • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • At least 45% aggregate marks in PCB subjects for General Category and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.
  • Must be medically fit (medical fitness certificate from a recognized licensed physician required).

Diploma in Nursing (GNM - General Nursing & Midwifery)

Duration: 3 Years Karnataka State Nursing Board

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

  • Passed Pre-University examination (PUC of 2 years) or equivalent recognized by Karnataka State Diploma Nursing Education Board.
  • Stream options: Science, Commerce, Arts & other subjects.
  • Obtained at least 40% of total marks for General Category and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st October of the admission year.
  • Must be medically fit (medical fitness certificate from a recognized physician required).

Anatomy & Physiology Department

Dissection Hall & Histology Lab

Dedicated to teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology to nursing students as per R.G.U.H.S. and I.N.C. regulations. Features a spacious dissection hall where cadavers and prosected parts are available for demonstration, alongside an advanced histology lab with high-precision microscopes and audio-visual projection aids.

Key Focus: Cadaver demonstrations, tissue histology, integrated organ systems, multi-media projection learning.

Pediatric Nursing Department

Child Health Simulation Lab

The Child Health Lab provides simulated clinical practice for child healthcare, newborn assessment, pediatric resuscitation, and case scenario management in a safe training environment before hospital introduction. Catalyzes nurse-led child wellness and evidence-based clinical protocols.

Key Focus: Neonatal care, pediatric medication, growth monitoring, child health counseling and resuscitation.

Community Health Nursing

Public Health & Field Postings

Equips students to illustrate transparent horizons in public health concepts, cultivate proactive community attitudes, assess family epidemiological history, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote equitable healthcare access across rural and urban centers.

Key Focus: Rural/urban outreach postings, immunization drives, health screening camps, epidemiological surveys.

Nutrition Department

Dietetics & Nutritional Science

Focuses on clinical nutrition, meal planning, caloric calculation, food chemistry, and diet therapy for diseased and recovering patients. Students learn hands-on food preparation and menu design for cardiac, diabetic, maternity, and pediatric patients in a dedicated dietetics lab.

Key Focus: Therapeutic diets, nutritional biochemistry, deficiency management, food safety standards.

Nursing Foundation Department

Core Clinical Bedside Skills

The fundamental cornerstone of nursing education. Imparts core competencies in patient hygiene, sterile injection techniques, vital signs monitoring, wound dressing, CPR, medication administration, and ethical bedside communication in an advanced multi-bed clinical demonstration ward.

Key Focus: Manikin patient simulation, aseptic techniques, IV cannulation, life support protocols.

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Maternal & Newborn Care

Prepares nurses for antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal healthcare. Students master normal labor management, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, family planning counseling, and comprehensive reproductive healthcare in collaboration with We Care Hospital maternity wards.

Key Focus: Delivery room procedures, fetal heart monitoring, postpartum wellness, newborn care.

Nursing Research Department

Evidence-Based Investigation

Fosters critical thinking, biostatistics, epidemiological surveys, and evidence-based problem solving. Students and faculty actively engage in publishing research findings, presenting at medical symposiums, and contributing to clinical nursing advancements.
